"Julia Oscarson also represents the human form

in non-traditional postures,

with treatment of her subjects that you

yearn to understand.

Her piece,untitled(ANTISIPATION)

tugs on your memories of similiar intimacies

you can almost feel the rough jean jacket the subject dons

and the imposingly solid wall behind her.

According to the artist,

a sense of personal connection

and emotional evocation

are at the top of her

motivational list for her work."

Oscarson from a small town on

Vancouver Island,Canada

said life in Seoul has been stimulating for her.

"My eyes are being opened to a new culture,"

she said.

"It's a different perspective,a different use of colors.

It's very interesting and

the interest in my work has been great."
